Abigaile's Foundation was started for our community in Northwest Arkansas. We are becoming a non-proofit organization to be able to serve the families and children with special needs who need resources. Those resources are not always found in Insurance, state insurance, or private donations for children with medical or equipment needs. We started the organization because our daughter needed equipment that would help her to get better, to heal, and to be able to walk again with no assistance giving her independence. Our insurance, state insurance, and community programs did not fund the special piece of equipment called a kidwalk gait trainer for her. They are $5000.00. We eventually rallied and got her the equipment. We have had other children and families as well as United States Veterans ask about our gait trainer that we name Raszberry Smoothie, that is our daughter Abigailes favorite drink. We decided to start an organization to help others with disabilites to obtain necessary equipment not normally paid for by insurance so that those children could be more independent therefore helping them to integrate back into society.
